ImageIO に dicom のリーダー/ライターがあることは確かですか? JDK で直接サポートされていないことはわかっていますが、SPI を作成または使用しましたか?

ImageIO.getReaderFormatNames() は dicom をリストしていないに違いありません。

したがって、実際に dicom イメージをロードするには、イメージ spi を作成/検索するか (詳細についてはImageIO.scanForPluginsの javadoc を参照)、またはpixelmedによって提供されるような別の API を使用する必要があります。

編集: よく調べてみると、dcm4che は SPI を提供しているようです。Yout クラスパスに dcm4che-imageio-XXX.jar ファイルが必要です。
