VS2010で構築されたVSTO対応の.xltテンプレートプロジェクトがあり、.NET4.0を対象としています。ほとんどの64ビットWindows7/32ビットOffice2010システムに問題なくインストールできますが、.xltを1台の32ビットWindows7/32ビットOffice2010マシンにインストールして開くと、以下のエラーが発生します。

見た目からすると、Excelは.NET2.0と3.5のアセンブリのいくつかの融合をロードしています。.xltを開く前に、他のすべてのアドインを無効にするようにしました。Excelに.NET4.0CLRの使用を強制するにはどうすればよいですか。なぜこれらの古いアセンブリをロードするのですか？

これをapp.configに追加してみてください。また、マシンに.net4フルフレームワークがインストールされているかどうかも確認してください。

問題のマシンを再イメージングすることになりました。新しいレジストリと新しくインストールされたOffice2010の上に問題なくインストールされたテンプレートプロジェクト。
