pg をインストールしようとしましたが、上記の出力の後半がスローされます。Rails を最初にインストールしたとき (約 2 週間前)、Rails インストーラーを使用しました。私の理解では、それでインストールされるべきもののコードがスローされ、GCC を処理する必要があるため、Mountain Lion 用の GCC-10.7-v2.pkg パッケージをインストールしましたが、役に立ちませんでした。

そもそもpgを使っているのは、Herokuにデプロイするためです。私の Gemfile では、次のようになります。
