よくある間違いは、テキストとバイナリ ストリームを混在させることです。たとえば、一方を書き込み、他方を読み取ります。

あなたの場合、バイナリ書き込み(サーバー側)とテキスト読み取り(クライアント側)を混在させているため、混乱することは間違いありません。また、クライアントでテキストを正しく書き込みますが、送信されるようにするために毎回フラッシュする必要があるため、役に立たない可能性があります。

BufferedReader と PrintWriter を使用し、それ以外はできるだけ使用しないことをお勧めします。ところで、PrintWriter は理想的ではない IOException をスローしませcheckError()ん。失敗したかどうかを確認する必要があります。:|
