サーバーに「dokuwiki」をセットアップしました。
フォルダに保存され/usr/share/wikiます。
だからパスは/usr/share/wiki/doku.php

http://example.com/wiki/startにアクセスすると、404 Not found が表示されます。

.htaccess の何が問題になっていますか? RewriteBase
に何か問題があるのではないかと疑っています

はいの場合、ホスティングサーバーに応じて.htaccessを変更する必要があります。

多くの場合、ホスティングサーバーは複数のサイトをホストしている可能性があるためです。そして、それに応じて異なる.htaccesを持っています。
