regex - テキストエリアのhtmlTextの空白行を削除する

textarea.htmlText と同じものを表示しています。

しかし、テキストエリアには上記が表示され、その間に空白行が多すぎます。テキストの改行を削除する方法はありますか? テキストはサーバー側からそのまま来ています。

    }
