actionscript-3 - Are Flash AMF calls blocking on AS3 client side?

Are Flash AMF calls blocking on AS3 client side i.e. Do they block the client till the response is returned from the server side? What is the underlying transport protocol used for AMF, If it is HTTP then isnt HTTP supposed to be blocking in nature?

AMF 呼び出しは非同期であり、結果/エラー処理はイベント リスナーを介して行う必要があります。基盤となるプロトコルは、HTTP または RTMP のいずれかです。ここで、HTTP が本質的に非ブロッキングであることについて - AS3 は少し前 (ワーカー) までスレッド化をサポートしていなかったため、HTTP 応答のブロッキングと待機はランタイム自体によって隠蔽され、待機中にインターフェースがフリーズしないようにすることができました。
