だから私は SimpleMembership を使用していますが、ローカルでは問題なく動作します。（ローカルで）使用しているSQL Serverは実際にはリモートサーバーであるため、接続文字列が正しいことはわかっています。ただし、Web サイトを公開して保護されたエンドポイントにアクセスしようとすると、少しハングしてからエラーが返されます。Webホストが推奨するように、Web構成の接続文字列を（ローカル）に変更しようとしました（データベースは同じボックスにあると思います）が、うまくいきません。私はそれを使用していなかったので、web.config から defaultConnection エントリを削除しました。
