Rails 4 アプリで state_machine gem を使用すると問題が発生します。提供されているレール チュートリアルhttp://gistflow.com/posts/679-state-machine-with-rails-basicsで説明されているように、列呼び出し状態を含むモデルがあり ます。
しかし、state_machine を次のように定義すると:

IssuesController#index の # NoMethodError で未定義のメソッド `state_machine' に陥っています。もちろん、gem 'state_machine 行を gemfile に追加し、bundle install コマンドを実行しました。Railsアプリケーションによってgemがロードされていないようです...
