MinGW と Cygwin を使用して Windows に HDF5 API をインストールしようとしています。Fortran で HDF5 を使用する必要があるため、(HDF5-1.8.11 のコンパイルに失敗した後) MinGW をあきらめました。

HDF5-1.8.11 で Cygwin を使用すると、configure (bash) スクリプトの実行時にエラーが発生するため、コンパイルが開始されません。HDF5-1.8がFortranモジュールを含むCygwinでコンパイルされることをこのリンクで読みました。古いバージョン (HDF5-1.8.0) をダウンロードし、configure は正常に動作しますが、コンパイル (2 回目の make) で次のエラーが発生します。

このエラーを再現できました。configure スクリプトは#define、グローバル変数の存在を示すいくつかのフラグを設定しているようですtimezoneが、実際には cygwin 環境内には存在しないため、エラー メッセージに欠落が報告されています。ヘッダー ファイル H5pubconf.h から を削除すること#define H5_HAVE_TIMEZONEで、このエラーを取り除くことができました。

残念ながら、make プロセス中にさらに別のエラーが発生します。これは#define H5_HAVE_GETPWUID、同じヘッダー ファイル H5pubconf.h から を削除することによっても回避できます。

これは、configure 中に実際に何がうまくいかなかったのかを説明していませんが、これら 2 つの変更により、ライブラリを正常にコンパイルできます。
