ようやく aterm から urxvt への移行に取り掛かり、ほとんどの設定を希望どおりに設定しましたが、まだ vim でハングアップする問題があります。:vsplit コマンドを発行すると、各ウィンドウの下部にあるファイル名を示すテキストが (ほぼ) 白い背景の上に白く表示され、判読できなくなります。aterm では、このテストはホワイト バックグラウンドで黒く表示されていました。
