SQL CE をデータ ストアとして使用するモデル優先の Entity Framework 4 アプリを作成しています。ObjectContext.SaveChanges()モデル内のエンティティへの変更を保存するために呼び出すまでは、すべて問題ありません。その時点で、SaveChanges()は System.Data.UpdateException をスローし、内部例外メッセージは次のようになります。

私は自分の答えを見つけたと思います。Entity Framework で使用する場合、SQL CE は自動生成された主キーをサポートしません。

私の回避策は、EF を完全に捨てて、Linq to Sql を使用することでした。私は Identity フィールドを主キーとして何の問題もなく喜んで使用しています。

VS2010 でこれを試すと、別の問題にぶつかるでしょう。VS は、L2S は SQL Compact をサポートしていないと言いますが、実際にはサポートしています。Visual Studio コマンド プロンプトを開き、次を実行します。

sqlmetal filename.sdf /dbml:filename.dbml

次に、dbml ファイルを既存のアイテムとしてプロジェクトに追加します。
