php - if-else ブロックの解析エラー予期しない }

Question

SO を 1 時間以上検索しましたが、問題を解決できませんでした。何らかの理由で、262 行目に Parse Error: syntax error unexpected } というエラーがページに表示されます。else 条件の閉じ括弧です。

else 条件を削除したところ、コードはスムーズに実行されました。その後、元に戻し、else 条件内のすべてを削除しましたが、それでもエラーは同じです。なぜ閉じ括弧が予期しないのか混乱しています。
