ASIHTTPRequestの使用を検討することをお勧めします。フォーム データ ポスト ボディを構築する手間が大幅に軽減され、要求ボディをディスクからストリーミングできるため、大きな画像をアップロードするときにメモリを節約できます。

これは、/index.php ではなく /upload_api.php に投稿する必要があることを示唆しているようです。
