「資産」モデルの検索ページがあり、「serial_no」フィールドに固有のものを検索する以外はすべて正常に機能します。

たとえば、serial_no: Z21313412A のアセットがありますが、「Z」を検索しても結果が返されません。これを数週間修正しようとしましたが、うまくいきませんでした。

ドキュメントによると：

PostgreSQL’s full text search matches on whole words by default. 
If you want to search for partial words, however, you can set :prefix to true. 
Since this is a :tsearch-specific option, you should pass it to :tsearch 
directly, as shown in the following example.

おそらく:prefix、構成に追加することで問題が解決します。
