Windows XP に msysgit バージョン 1.8.0 をインストールし、コンテキスト メニューにプラグインの「高度な」バージョンを使用することにしました。ショートカットアイコンからgit bashを起動すると問題なく起動します。しかし、右クリックのコンテキスト メニューを使用すると、次のエラーが発生しました。

自宅の Windows 7 マシンで同じバージョンを使用しましたが、まったく問題はありませんでした。
